People have written many a pages on/about this man. The New Yorker deemed him worth of a review in 2008 they said this, ‘If you’re missing Fred Eaglesmith, you’re really missing out’. David Letterman put this fellow on the air live. His lyrics are brilliant ranging from somber to hysterically funny. Come out April 15th and see why there is such thing as an “underground legend”.

If its a violin, banjo or a guitar it makes noise. If it’s Paul James wailing away on an instrument denominational riff have been know to form; leaving only a mass of amazing music. He’s a north Texas resident who travels Europe with his unique brand of music ever expanding his market through constant touring. Folk singer is the only category for this one-man-grand-stand-alone act. His music breaks the typical patterns and forms of music creating, a hybrid  that is harrowing, free, erie, totally possessed and completely original.

Caught my first look at Oso Closo at Rock the Republic and was mesmerized at what they could do. They work an epically large progressive sound like nobody else can. These boy could probably definitely make Peter Gabriel smile. Followed by Keite Young who put on a flawless show at The Stafford a year ago. Although not exactly a genre match they both play real nice.

Stafford says that is a total understatement; This band is guaranteed to bring a show for 7 people like there are a million watching. They did it last time and I got the t-shirt. Don’t miss this band. Sounds Under Radio is on the bill they are also unreal and extremely well polished band. If that wasn’t enough we add on Trebuchet and Flawless Escape both of which made our Rock the Republic festival. Its going to be amazing.

These guys came through a few months back and they were unreal. The front man Cody Jasper is fun loving bad ass guitar slinger and all around cool guy. Their drummer Greg has professionally toured the world since he was 17 and the bass player Ryan never misses. There music was like nothing Stafford has ever seen. It was like a mix of Mars Volta, Black Keys and Bob Dylan. They are some really cool guys and they just love what they are doing. I didn’t mention that Rev. Horten Heat gave this dude one of his guitars with a handmade Billy Gibon pick-up in it. January 21st, clear your schedules come see something awesome.
